Project Details
This one-story 173,000-square-foot facility for Schott Pharmaceutical Packaging will facilitate the company's growing business of producing pharmaceutical glass vials, ampoules, and cartridges. The new structure replaces the company's former plant in Cleona, PA, as well as a separate warehouse.
The exterior features masonry construction and composite metal panels. The facility includes production areas that provide temperature-controlled makeup air through roof-mounted units with direct gas-fired heaters and chilled water tempering coils. Spot cooling is provided in the most heavily occupied areas. The vial packing room provides a clean, stable environment that maintains positive pressurization relative to adjacent spaces.
The facility includes GMP space that could be validated as a class 100,000 clean room, although it was not a requirement.
